Page 2 - Pretoria to Kruger Park region

An interesting day's drive from Pretoria took us across the high plateau region to an elevation of 7,000' above sea level to Dullstroom where we had lunch in cool temps at the Flying Dutchman. Superb roses graced the courtyard.
On arrival at Shiduli Lodge in the Karongwe Private Reserve, we took a drive and got closeups of some of the big animals right away. Mother and Baby White Rhino. Saturday morning a 5 a.m. game drive treated us to lions, giraffes, hippos, elephants, zebras, warthogs, crocodiles, and lots of deer-type animals, as well as songbirds and flowers.
